Establishing a strong foundation for your scientific career is crucial, and we invite you to be part of our dynamic team at DTU Energy. Our project focuses on the development of new electromechanically functional materials for micro- and nano-electromechanical systems (MEMS and NEMS). As a postdoc, you will work closely with Prof. Vincenzo Esposito and other colleagues to fabricate nanometric materials, including nanostructured Nitrides and Oxides, 2D materials, and heterostructures for high-frequency applications.

We are seeking an experienced researcher who can develop a motorized system to deposit thin films, synthesize ceramic targets using solid-state reactions, assemble materials with advanced techniques like pulsed laser deposition and radio frequency magnetron sputtering, characterize nanostructures with X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy, and perform electrochemical characterization using various methods.

Key qualifications include a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, engineering, or similar, excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to work independently with a strong drive to plan and carry out complicated tasks. Experience with ferroelectrics, PVD of ferroelectric metal oxides and oxygen ionic conductors, defective metal oxides and nanomaterials, electrochemical characterization techniques, and project management competencies are highly valued.
