Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Advisor to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our employees and leaders, ensuring their interaction with HR results in a great experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own people's inquiries about HR policies and procedures, understand their needs, investigate options, seek solutions, and partner with other HR colleagues to resolve the inquiries.
  • Work in close connection with our warehouse site managers to support with benefits, policies & procedures, advising and supporting employees during various workplace-related concerns and allegations, ensuring a fair and equitable work environment, and appropriately resolving misconduct.
  • Actively work in Workday (our HR management system) and Service Now.
  • Guide and train employees and managers in the new HR systems and service delivery model.
  • Support the delivery of the HR Cycle with administrative tasks related to onboarding, annual performance management, job moves, exit, etc.
  • Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of various HR-related documents. Key documentation review responsibilities could include Employee Records, HR Policies & Procedures, Compliance Auditing, and Benefits & Compensation. Mitigate potential legal and compliance risks through diligent review and maintenance of documentation.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of UK labour laws as well as a strong foundation and understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal compliance requirements.
  • Experience in resolving employee relations issues.
  • Great collaboration and communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Experience in Workday or other HRIS would be an asset.
