We are seeking an accomplished postdoctoral fellow to spearhead protein regulation studies in cardiometabolic syndrome. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative research environment, contributing to multiple projects focusing on experimental investigations of cellular and animal disease models, as well as human samples.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on skills and expert knowledge in mass spectrometry-based proteomics (LC-MS/MS) and analytical know-how of mass spectrometry data analysis. Experience in quantitative proteomics approaches is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate remodeling in hearts from animal models, patient samples, and cell systems using quantitative proteomics-based approaches to identify molecular changes driving disease states.
  • Contribute to multiple projects, including experimental investigations of cellular and animal disease models, as well as work with human samples.
  • Collaborate with a team of scientists across various scientific fields focused on improving our molecular understanding of cardiac pathophysiology.
Requirements
  • A PhD with experience from a relevant field, including Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Sciences.
  • Ambitious, creative, independent, and self-driven individual with excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Experience in cardiac biology or physiology is an advantage.
  • Willingness to engage in teamwork.

The University provides a dynamic and strong scientific environment with state-of-the-art laboratories and core facilities.

The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week. The position is limited to a period of 2 years. Salary and pension are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). Currently, the monthly salary starts at approximately €5,100 (April 2024 level), with the possibility of negotiation based on qualifications. The employer contributes 17.1% to your pension fund.
