We are seeking a highly skilled Protein Designer to join our innovative team at The BioInnovation Institute (BII). Located in Nørrebro, Denmark, we are part of the esteemed Novo Holdings A/S.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating novel protein designs from scratch to modulate previously undruggable membrane proteins. This cutting-edge approach involves computationally designing structures with complementarity to the target binding site, resulting in designed proteins with unique properties to meet therapeutic needs.
As a Protein Designer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing protein design campaigns targeting integral membrane proteins
- Analyzing rich experimental data to improve current design techniques
- Assisting the project team in developing software infrastructure for experimental workflows
You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative research environment where you will have the opportunity to work closely with an international team of experts in protein design, functional genomics, and life science start-ups.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in physics, biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field. Additionally, proficiency in scripting frameworks, preferably Python, and experience with protein structure analysis are essential. Expertise in protein biochemistry or biophysics is also desirable.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately **€70,000 - €90,000 per annum**, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes opportunities for career growth and development within a fast-paced research environment.
