About the Position

The Natural History Museum of Denmark, Faculty of Science is seeking a highly skilled Natural History Conservator to join our team. As a Natural History Conservator, you will be responsible for the conservation and management of our vast collections of natural history specimens. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of materials, from taxidermy and skeletal preparations to paleontological and fluid preparations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conserve and manage natural history specimens, including taxidermy, skeletal preparations, paleontological and fluid preparations.
  • Develop and implement conservation treatments and methods to ensure the long-term preservation of our collections.
  • Collaborate with other museum staff to ensure the effective management and conservation of our collections.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on conservation and collections management.
  • Contribute to the development of conservation policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Conservation or a related field.
  • Proven experience in natural history conservation, preferably in a museum or similar setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of conservation principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
