The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a Head of Department position in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and internationally recognized department that conducts research in pure and applied mathematics, and educates students at all levels.

As Head of Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for the department, as well as ensuring its continued high international level.

You will work closely with the Dean and other university leaders to promote the department's research and educational activities, and to build strong relationships with industry partners and other stakeholders.

The department has a strong and dynamic scientific environment, with a highly successful funding activity, sought-after degree programmes, and a strong collaboration with various sectors in society.

We are looking for a candidate who is an internationally recognized researcher in one of the department's subject areas, as well as an experienced lecturer with high academic and professional standards.

You should have a strong vision for the department's future development and be able to communicate this effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.

A competitive salary of approximately DKK 610,000 (approximately USD 90,000) per year, depending on experience and qualifications, is offered.
