Salary and Benefits

The monthly salary for this position starts at approximately 38,500 DKK, which translates to around 5,100 EUR (based on April 2024 levels). In addition to the basic salary, you will receive a pension contribution of 17.1% from the employer. We also offer tax reductions to eligible applicants who hold a PhD degree and have not lived in Denmark for the past 10 years.

Job Description

This fixed-term position is limited to two years, with an expected start date of December 1st, 2024. As a synaptic function researcher, you will play a crucial role in investigating cellular models of neurodevelopmental delay and epilepsy using live cell imaging techniques. Your primary tasks will include developing novel imaging methods, analyzing data, and identifying parameters that are affected by disease mutations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • You should possess a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field, such as natural or medical sciences.
  • An excellent scientific track record is essential for this position.
  • Experience with cell culture methods, fluorescence microscopy, and human stem cell work is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, are required for effective collaboration with colleagues and presenting research findings.
