We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Center for Protein Research. The successful candidate will have expertise in chromatin biology and contribute to developing new epigenetic approaches for cancer treatment.

Job DescriptionThe postdoctoral researcher will work in the Chromatin Replication and Epigenome Maintenance research group headed by Prof. Anja Groth. The group focuses on elucidating how chromatin organization and function are propagated during mitotic cell division to maintain genome and epigenome stability.
Responsibilities- Develop new epigenetic approaches for cancer treatment using genome-editing techniques and state-of-the-art genomics
- Contribute to ongoing projects and supervise students
- PhD in Life Science, Biochemistry, Molecular Cell Biology, Cancer Biology or related field
- Background in epigenetics and cancer biology
- Expertise in next-generation sequencing approaches and data analysis
- Collaborative and inclusive mindset
The employment offers a full-time and fixed-term position for 3 years, starting date November 15, 2024. Salary starts at approximately €47,000 per year, plus additional benefits including a pension fund contribution.
