Head of Freelancers Operations Department

We are searching for a visionary leader to oversee the lifeblood of our writing platform - our talented freelancers. As the driving force behind our freelancer department, you'll manage everything from recruitment to quality assurance, ensuring that every piece of content meets our high standards.

With a keen eye for detail and a knack for process optimization, you'll spearhead the integration of AI tools to push our operations to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of freelance writing and lead a dynamic team.

Your responsibilities will be:

  1. Team Leadership: Oversee a department, ensuring the smooth operation of all freelancer-related activities.
  2. Process Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and the quality of outputs.
  3. Freelancer Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of freelancers on the platform, from hiring and training to performance evaluation and termination.
  4. Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of product quality and manage the KPIs related to cancel rates and product quality rates.
  5. Reporting: Provide regular reports on department performance, including KPIs, challenges, and areas for improvement, to senior management.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  1. Freelancer Management: Expertise in managing the full lifecycle of freelancers, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
  2. Leadership & Management: Ability to manage and lead a team of 12 subordinates, including 2 sub-TLs.
  3. Quality Assurance: Strong understanding of quality metrics, particularly in writing and editing, to ensure high product quality rates.
  4. Process Optimization: Experience in identifying inefficiencies in workflows and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  5. Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data related to writer performance, product quality, and other KPIs, and using this data to drive decisions.
  6. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with freelancers, team members, and other stakeholders.
