NATO DIANA Quantum Centre (DIANAQ) is a pioneering institution that accelerates the development of companies from NATO member states working with quantum technologies.
Located at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen and part of the NATO DIANA initiative, DIANAQ's ambition is to contribute to NATO's technological edge.
Job SummaryWe seek an experienced Scientific Project Manager with broad expertise in quantum technology and applications. This role involves facilitating collaboration with partners and stakeholders nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Liaising directly with innovators to facilitate collaborations
- Coordinating scientific arrangements between test and fabrication facilities and relevant NATO DIANA partners
- Responding to queries from innovators, providing quotes, and participating in contract negotiations
- Ensuring processes and procedures adhere to NATO DIANA regulations
- Representing DIANAQ at meetings, fairs, and conferences
- Providing input for activity reporting to the DIANAQ Coordination Committee
We envision the ideal candidate has a background in physics, engineering, nanotechnology, or related fields at MSc or PhD level. Experience with nanofabrication of quantum components is preferred.
Knowledge of low-temperature cryogenics, photonics, optical and electrical characterization techniques is an advantage. Knowledge of safety in the work environment is required.
The successful candidate will possess project management skills, negotiation skills, and a commitment to being highly organized. Service-minded, proactive team players capable of engaging with a diverse group of innovators and partners are essential.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken, are necessary. Danish is an advantage.
Salary and BenefitsThe employment and salary are made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector. The position offers a permanent contract starting 1 August 2023 or as soon as possible.
Employment will be as Special Consultant. Negotiation for a salary supplement is possible. The working time averages 37 hours per week, with flexible working hours.
