About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on a 12-month research project focusing on the legal and policy framework for green hydrogen transport innovation ecosystems in the North Sea Region.

Job Description

The primary objective of this research position is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the existing legal frameworks and policies related to green hydrogen in the EU and national jurisdictions. This will involve identifying legal and policy gaps across the North Sea Region and developing recommendations for addressing these challenges.

The Research Associate will be part of a larger research team at CLIMA, which conducts research on climate change and sustainability. The center offers a dynamic and collaborative environment with opportunities for feedback and interaction with other researchers.

Requirements
  • A PhD or JSD degree in law or a related field;
  • Strong research skills and experience in energy and climate change law;
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
What We Offer

The appointment is temporary and will be made in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (Akademikernes Centralorganisation, AC). In addition to the basic salary, you will receive an annual supplement per month and a total contribution to your pension fund equal 17.1% of your salary.

You will also receive a yearly DKK 25,000 research allowance that can be utilized for work-related expenses such as books, conference fees, and research stays.

The position includes research and some administrative responsibilities.
