Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Center for Climate Change Law and Governance (CLIMA) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen.

About the Position

The successful candidate will work on shedding light on opportunities and challenges in existing legal frameworks and policies related to green hydrogen in the EU and national jurisdictions. They will identify legal and policy gaps across the North Sea Region and suggest ways to address them.

Responsibilities

The postdoc will be part of the larger research team at CLIMA, working on climate change and sustainability. The center offers a nurturing, lively, and expanding research environment that enables researchers to receive feedback on their ongoing work and interact with other researchers in their field.

Requirements

The position requires a PhD or equivalent degree in law or another social science discipline, with sufficient knowledge in law. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in energy and climate change, EU law, and policy innovation. They should also possess excellent analytical and writing skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment.

Salary and Benefits

The appointment is temporary, with a 12-month employment period starting March 1, 2025. The salary will be approximately DKK 540,000 per year, plus an annual supplement of DKK 25,000, and a total contribution to the pension fund equal to 17.1% of the salary.
