ROLE European Sales Director

TEAM Retail and Distribution

HOURS Fulltime

LOCATION. Copenhagen

START DATE August 1st (The sooner the better)

The Retail & Distribution team’s main responsibility is to drive revenue growth. Together with our own online channel we bring the SOUNDBOKS experiences to consumers across the world. We do this by working closely with our partners to ensure brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints.

As the European Sales Director, you will lead the European Retail & Distribution team (2 FTEs) to strengthen our retail presence and sell-out in our core markets, as well as work hands-on directly with our key accounts. To be successful in that, you will be working across the commercial department to support a strong, brand-first omni-channel strategy to make SOUNDBOKS a household name across our core markets in Scandinavia and Germany.

Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:

Lead and manage the European Retail and Distribution team incl. sales operations, ensuring a high-performing team with healthy team dynamics and culture Build close relationships with our key accounts, ensuring a holistic and accretive strategy to drive multi-year growthWork with Channel Marketing to build strong key account annual plans driving sell-out and building brand awareness with our core partnersSucceed in German retail through working with our existing retail partners and building out distribution further if neededWork closely with the other commercial leaders to build and execute holistic go-to-market omni-channel strategies that make our strong online channel synergistic with our offline channelsManage our global distribution/master-dealer partnerships with a low-touch approach, derisking the core markets and ensuring the build-up of the SOUNDBOKS brand in non-core markets without derailing the organization from the core markets

Proven experience as a Sales Director or similar leadership role with a proven ability to drive revenue growth Strong knowledge of the CE industry and the sales process (it’s a plus if it’s a CE lifestyle background) Familiarity with the German market and its key customers and competitors Experience working with mass market retailers and distribution/wholesale Understanding of omni-channel businesses and how to build and execute a strong sales and marketing plan in collaboration with an eCommerce team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities concurrently Strong analytical and negotiation skills, ensuring that we aren’t just moving – but progressing – and that we’re building a sustainable business at the same time
