Job Description

Danfoss IXA Denmark is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to be a part of our global Sales, Marketing and Project team.
Are you a self-driven and proactive sales professional with a track record of growing sales revenue and delivering results? Are you passionate about green technology and commercializing customer needs into new product offers? Do you have experience in technical solutions sales in the marine industry? Are you interested in offering marine exhaust gas analyzer solutions to global customers within the marine industry? If yes, then maybe you are the right person to become our new colleague and join our highly skilled team either in Copenhagen or Kolding, Denmark?

The position will be based either in our Copenhagen office or in Kolding. Working remotely for this position is very limited, and speaking Danish is a requirement.
As our main customers are global leading marine engine makers/designers, shipyards, big ship owners & operators, and after-treatment solution providers, it is vital to keep frequent dialogues with our global customers and participate in industrial exhibitions/trade shows/events. Therefore, a willingness and flexibility to travel is a hard request (est. 60 days per year).

Job Responsibilities

As our new Sales Manager, you will be part of a dedicated international team, responsible for IXA's further strategic sales and development of our marine exhaust gas emission analyzer products portfolio, with close coordination with R&D, supply chain, service, as well as production. You will be referring to the Director of Sales.

Key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Identify sales opportunities and market demands, create & follow up sales quotations/orders
  • Proactively build and manage sales pipelines for IXA's product portfolios, provide qualified sales forecasts and monthly sales reports
  • Arrange and conduct customer visits, collect customer feedback, and provide customer support
  • Define sales plans and long-term customer development strategies
  • Bid preparation - create and execute winning bid strategies to create competitive bids
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with global customers
  • Support our engineering team to develop future products and technologies relevant to the future needs within the maritime industry
  • Prepare and participate in marine trade shows, exhibitions, and events
Background & Skills

To be considered for the position, you should have a relevant education (min. bachelor's degree or a comparable qualification) with 5+ years of experience from a similar position, preferably within the marine industry. You have sound commercial knowledge and high technical affinity, and a proven solid track record of industrial sales within B2B. The ideal candidate has excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills; experience in international business with different cultures; and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Furthermore, we expect you to be:

  • Result-oriented and goal-motivated, proactive, and energetic
  • Accountable, reliable, and customer-centric
  • Independent, structured, analytical, and possess a problem-solving mindset
  • A good listener and team player, with excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluent in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing. Other languages are an advantage
