Saga's English Language Markets team is growing fast, and we are currently looking to hire a full-time Sales and Marketing Coordinator (Maternity Cover).

Primary tasks for the Sales and Marketing Coordinator will include:

  1. Pitching titles to key accounts to ensure visibility and promotion of our titles, both frontlist and backlist
  2. Using our marketing CMS to manage communications with contacts, from day-to-day, meetings and all marketing communications to keep our titles top of mind with retailers
  3. Being the editorial eye on our blog and social media channels
  4. Analyse sales and use this information to inform future sales and marketing activity
  5. Cultivate relationships with both distribution and retail partners
  6. Define and launch price campaigns for audiobook and e-book backlists
  7. Implement deals with external partners
  8. Negotiate exclusivity and/or content deals with sales platforms
  9. Develop marketing material for the editorial department
  10. Working with the other Sales & Marketing Coordinators across languages to implement new and innovative ways of growing our sales
  11. Together with other Sales and Marketing Coordinators, define and execute campaigns on various media platforms
  12. Together with the Editor-in-chief define Sales KPIs, analyse and adjust sales performance according to activities

Preferred qualifications for the right candidate:

  1. Has a passion for literature
  2. Has a relevant university degree (BA or MA)
  3. Has previous experience from sales and marketing roles
  4. Knows search engine and sales platform algorithms and can use this knowledge in a sales and marketing context
  5. Has experience in Industry/Performance Trends, Sub Industry Analysis, Industry Event Insight
  6. Has the ability to quickly adapt to different IT systems of high complexity
  7. Has an understanding of the English language book markets and publishing industries
  8. Is not afraid to pick up the phone and negotiate
  9. Is agile and can take initiative
  10. Has a positive outlook and is happy to work in a team
  11. Has the following language skills: English (native or bilingual proficiency) - any other language skills will be considered a plus but is not a requirement
