Role Summary:
An Account Manager at GTT is responsible for finding new customers and penetrating existing client bases to identify new opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of customer challenges and the ability to match their needs with GTT's services. The Account Manager will be responsible for scheduling promotional work, tracking sales activities, quoting prices, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scheduling promotional work and tracking sales activities
- Developing new business within assigned regions or industries
- Presenting products or services to stakeholders and addressing customer needs
- Prospecting new business, setting and closing appointments with key decision makers, and servicing existing business
- Penetrating existing companies to understand pain points and identify further opportunities
- Selling GTT's full suite of products and solutions, including connectivity (SD-WAN, MPLS, SASE Internet & Managed Services)
- Profiling key customers and seeking companies with decision-making units and considerable international footprints
- Working with marketing support to drive further prospecting initiatives
- Driving opportunities from discovery through development to close
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Confidence in engaging with C-level executives on business challenges and translating needs into benefits
- Knowledge of cloud, networking, or communications – managed services
- Ambition, competitiveness, and a winning mentality
- Comfort with technical topics
- Excellent written and verbal grasp of English
- Knowledge of applicable sales methodologies (SPIN, Miller Heiman, etc.)
- 5-10+ years of enterprise sales experience
