Business Development Manager

In this role as Key Account Manager at Global Blue, you will play a vital part in understanding and addressing the business objectives and challenges of our key clients.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with these clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring their satisfaction with our solutions.
To achieve this, you will conduct regular business reviews to identify areas for improvement and drive account growth through effective sales strategies and dynamic interactions with customers.
You will also serve as the escalation point for key clients, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of any issues or concerns.
Responsibilities
- Understand clients' business objectives and align Global Blue's solutions accordingly
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure their satisfaction and drive account growth
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the services and solutions provided to key accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies and initiatives aimed at maximizing revenue and market share
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments
- Drive revenue growth by upselling and cross-selling Global Blue's products and services to existing clients
- Develop account-specific business plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and increase client spend
- Serve as the escalation point for key clients, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of any issues or concerns
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, including client feedback, competitor activities, and industry trends
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on account performance, revenue forecasts, and market insights for internal stakeholders
Requirements
You are an experienced professional with a proven track record as a Key Account Manager or in a similar client-facing role, preferably within the travel, retail, or financial services industry.
You possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as a strong understanding of global B2B sales cycles and account management principles.
An analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and drive data-informed decision-making is essential for this role.
You are proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders at different levels.
A proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite is also required.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus) is necessary for this position.
