Kongens Lyngby, Lyngby-Tårbæk Kommune, Denmark Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) Full time

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative researcher in ecological modelling to strengthen our understanding of coastal ecosystems and advance pressure-impact interactions.

As an Ecological Modelling Specialist, you will develop advanced dynamic models addressing key aspects of coastal ecosystem functioning. Your responsibilities will include analyzing interactions between pressures, coastal habitats, and environmental conditions, predicting impacts of different management strategies under present and future conditions, and improving models and methods for coastal ecosystem management and restoration.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in ecological modelling with a focus on coastal ecosystems, pressure-impact relationships, and aquatic nature restoration. A PhD degree within aquatic ecology, ecological modelling, environmental science, engineering, or similar is required. Experience with application and development of process-based ecological models, scientific programming, and data analysis is essential.

This is a full-time position as part of DTU's Tenure Track program. The salary range for this position is approximately $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. You will work with nearby colleagues and partners in Denmark and abroad. We offer a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

In addition to the technical requirements, we seek a team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills. If you have a strong passion for marine ecology and a desire to make a tangible impact on coastal ecosystem management and restoration, we encourage you to apply.
