The Danish Institute for IT Program Management and the Computer Science Department at the IT University of Copenhagen are seeking a strong candidate to fill a faculty position as assistant professor or associate professor in mathematical statistics.
About the PositionThis is an exceptional opportunity for an academic professional with expertise in frequentist, Bayesian, and likelihood-based inference statistics through research and teaching experience. The ideal candidate should document their ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment, communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences, and attract external research funding.
Responsibilities will include conducting research activities in collaboration with fellow faculty members, contributing to education programs by giving courses and supervising BSc and MSc theses, and engaging with society through external collaboration.

Requirements- A Ph.D. in statistics or mathematics with a strong emphasis on foundational statistics and its applications.
- Expertise in statistical software, such as R, and the design of experiments and application of statistical methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
- Prior teaching experience and pedagogical training courses, as well as publications in well-respected peer-reviewed venues.
