At Spa 23 Fitness and Lifestyle, our Department of Mathematical Sciences is dedicated to advancing the field of statistics through innovative research. We are seeking a talented Senior Research Statistician to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge methodological research in statistics.

Our department offers a wide range of mathematical disciplines and has three study programmes: mathematics (including a specialization in statistics at the master level), mathematical economics, and mathematics-technology.
As a Senior Research Statistician, you will have the opportunity to shape your professional activities and make meaningful contributions to our research initiatives. You will be part of a team that is passionate about advancing knowledge and improving people's lives through statistics.
Responsibilities:- Methodological Research: As a Senior Research Statistician, you will lead methodological research projects in statistics, focusing on areas such as computational statistics, econometrics, continuous time stochastic processes, statistical genetics/bioinformatics, graphical models/Bayesian networks, and spatial statistics.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: You will engage in cross-disciplinary collaborative research with an applied and/or strategic perspective, working with colleagues from various departments to identify and address complex research questions.
- Teaching and Training: You will teach and train students in mathematics and statistics programs, including those in Engineering and Social Sciences, and contribute to developing curriculum content.
- Funding and External Collaboration: You will seek external funding for research and collaborate with colleagues to secure grants, fostering partnerships and networking opportunities.
- A PhD degree in mathematical statistics, data science with a mathematical foundation, or a related area with a strong mathematical background.
- An excellent research record, demonstrated by publications and research grants.
- Demonstrated teaching experience and formal pedagogical training.
- A strategy for future research and funding activities.
