Postdoctoral Researcher in Materials Chemistry and X-ray Total Scattering

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work within materials chemistry with a strong focus on the use of X-ray scattering methods for characterization of atomic structure, as well as understanding material synthesis pathways.
About the PositionThe position is available from 1 December 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The postdoc's duties will include research within chemistry as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.
Responsibilities- Conduct independent and creative research within materials chemistry, focusing on the use of X-ray scattering methods.
- Develop new synthesis methods for materials with unique properties.
- Collaborate with colleagues to advance our understanding of material synthesis pathways.
- Teach students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- PhD degree in experimental chemistry, nanoscience, physics, or a similar field.
- Experience in material synthesis, particularly in the context of X-ray scattering methods.
- Strong background in data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive salary range of DKK 536,000 - DKK 641,500 per year, depending on experience.
