Postdoctoral Researcher in Materials Chemistry and X-ray Total Scattering
2 weeks ago
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our research team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Associate Professor Kirsten M. Ø. Jensen and will be part of the Nanostructure group.
Research FocusThe postdoctoral researcher will focus on the synthesis and characterization of materials using X-ray total scattering methods. The research will involve the development of new synthesis strategies and the characterization of the resulting materials using X-ray total scattering and other advanced techniques.
The postdoctoral researcher will also have the opportunity to work on a range of other research projects, including the development of new materials for electrocatalysis and the study of the atomic structure of materials using X-ray scattering methods.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, applicants must have a PhD degree in experimental chemistry, nanoscience, physics, or a similar field. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in material synthesis and X-ray scattering methods, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, and will be responsible for managing their own research projects and collaborating with other researchers in the group.
What We OfferThe University of Copenhagen offers a dynamic and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration with leading researchers in the field.
The postdoctoral researcher will be employed on a full-time basis for a period of 18-24 months, and will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.
How to ApplyTo apply for this position, please submit your application, including a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three professional references, to the University of Copenhagen's job portal by 25 September 2024.
