We are seeking a highly skilled Health Service Management Expert to join our team in the European Region. As a member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to work with governments, international partners, and civil society to improve the health and well-being of people around the world.

Job Description

The Health Service Management Expert will provide technical support to countries in the WHO European Region to strengthen their health service management capacity. The expert will work closely with national authorities, regional offices, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies, strategies, and frameworks for improving health service management. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing technical guidance and assistance to countries in designing and implementing health service reforms
- Developing and implementing national frameworks and models for health service management
- Assisting with literature reviews, data analysis, and benchmarking to identify best practices in health service management
- Providing technical assistance and support to countries in developing and implementing health service management training programs and models for healthcare workers' continuous professional development

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A university degree in health science or a relevant field
- At least 5 years of experience in technical areas related to health service management, including integrated care and health service reform
- Strong knowledge of political systems, social, and health systems in the WHO European countries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
