Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Production Cost Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for optimizing production costs and improving financial management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to the business area, leveraging your strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Drive the financial management by proactively aligning with line of business on the financial plan, product costing, inventory, raw material consumption, purchase price variance, production variance, scrap, inventory provisions, etc.
- Ensure financial compliance and house in order by aligning accounting treatment and cost classifications with Global Finance team.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial and control processes, further strengthening the connection between business plans, activities, and resources to ensure value creation.
- Be a key player in driving our systems and standards to the next level and setting the scene for further analyses.
Requirements
- Hold a master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, coupled with hands-on experience in a comparable role within a large organisation.
- Demonstrate a strong financial background and a process-oriented mindset with an interest to map, streamline, and optimise processes.
- Showcase a structured way with a sharp eye for details and thrive in setting direction for finance integration and handling of product costing.
- Possess solid stakeholder management and collaboration skills, along with good communication and presentation abilities.
- Display proficiency in both written and spoken English.
About the Team
You will be joining a finance team consisting of 27-30 members, where half of the people are non-Danish coming from 11 different countries. We drive the financial management and investment governance for the SVP area called External Supply in Novo Nordisk.
