Join Our Team as a Product Manager for Heating Solutions

We are looking for a skilled Product Manager to join our team at Solar A/S. As a Product Manager for Heating Solutions, you will be responsible for the sales performance (margin and revenue) of the assigned portfolio. You will work closely with colleagues from the Netherlands and other countries where Solar is active to ensure our company grows into a leading partner for installers, industrial buyers, and retailers.

The product portfolio you will work with is diverse and includes warm water production, heat exchanger systems, piping systems, and pumps for our customers who are primarily located in the installation and retail sectors. You will develop the product portfolio by analyzing market trends, discussing with suppliers, and collaborating with other product managers within the company. You will also be responsible for positioning the products effectively.

As a Product Manager, you will be the sparring partner of your suppliers, working together to identify opportunities and achieve optimal collaboration and synergy. You will have a deep understanding of the market and be constantly monitoring developments and identifying growth opportunities.

You will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle, ensuring that the products are properly set up in the systems, including pricing and positioning. You will also work with the Supply Chain Planning team to set up inventory and delivery targets. This will make you a valuable link between the purchasing and sales organizations.

As a Product Manager for Heating Solutions, you will also be responsible for developing innovative solutions, such as radiators, in line with the growing market demand. You will manage and strengthen our own brands (labels) by working closely with manufacturers, guiding product development, and sharing expertise to ensure products meet current and future market trends.

The Team

You will be part of a category team consisting of a Category Manager for Heating, Water & Sanitary, a buyer, and four product managers. This role also has a strong international character, with collaboration with the international team of product and sourcing managers from other Solar countries. As a product manager at Solar, you will also work closely with various internal departments, such as marketing, sales, and supply chain.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who puts the customer first and is able to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Product Manager for Heating Solutions, you will be goal-oriented and successful. You will be able to maintain a clear overview of your product portfolio and product groups, set effective priorities, and communicate fluently in both Dutch and English. You will be able to handle a high workload and prioritize tasks effectively. You will be a valuable asset to the team, with colleagues and external partners approaching you for questions and solutions.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A completed HBO degree, such as business administration or commercial economics;
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a product manager, preferably in the wholesale, installation, or retail sector;
  • Knowledge and/or affinity with these product groups is a strong plus;
  • Good knowledge of Excel (SAP experience is a plus).
