We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will become an integral part of this team, contributing to cutting-edge research projects and collaborating with international colleagues.
Salary:
The annual salary for this position is estimated to be around 530,000 DKK (approximately 72,000 EUR), based on the Danish government's guidelines for academic staff salaries.
Job Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be to investigate the fluxes of volatiles associated with marine bacterioplankton and phytoplankton, focusing on the importance of these interactions for VOC production/emission. This will involve field and experimental work, as well as cultivation using molecular analyses of bacterial and phytoplankton community composition, plankton activity measurements, and VOC measurements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- PhD in marine microbial ecology or a related field
- Excellent analytical skills, including bioinformatics, aquatic microbial ecology, and cultivation of bacteria and phytoplankton
- Experience with VOC measurements using GC-MS or PTR-MS techniques and multivariate statistics is an asset
- Fuency in written and spoken English
