Job Title: Strategic Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sales Manager to join our team at Aker Carbon Capture AS. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting strategic sales efforts across our core markets and key accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and qualification to negotiations and contract signing.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales, key account, and business development plan to drive growth and expand market reach.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and emerging market segments.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess market potential and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting the unique benefits and value of our carbon capture solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management, master's degree preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in business development or commercial development positions within the new energies or climate tech sectors, preferably in carbon capture & storage and/or direct air capture project development.
  • Knowledge of carbon capture technologies, energy markets, and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully closing deals and meeting sales targets with large capital projects across different delivery models.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
