Ecologist Position in Marine Ecosystem Restoration Project

We are seeking a highly skilled ecologist to join our team at Aarhus University, Denmark. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will work on a 3-year project focused on marine biodiversity and ecosystem services.
The successful candidate will have expertise in benthic ecology and biodiversity, as well as experience with conventional and molecular methods for monitoring benthic diversity. You should also have a strong background in data analysis and statistical tools, with publications in high-ranking journals.
This is a fixed-term position from September 2024 or as soon as possible, with the aim of ending on August 2027. The postdoc will collaborate with two PhD projects to develop tools for efficiently monitoring and quantifying ecosystem services associated with marine restoration projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for field-based monitoring, investigations in different restored habitats, and collaboration with external partners. You will also contribute to strengthening the competences of the Danish national center for marine restoration.
As an ecologist at Aarhus University, you will benefit from a well-developed research infrastructure, laboratories, and access to shared equipment. Our department offers a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment with many national, international, and industrial collaborators.
You can expect a salary range of €55,000-€75,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The place of work is Roskilde, Denmark, and the area of employment is Aarhus University with related departments.
