We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Hempel A/S. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling our insulation and related products to businesses across multiple channels within designated territories, segments, or accounts.
This role requires a versatile individual with strong commercial and technical capabilities, specifically in insulation technologies. You will work closely with commercial teams and interact with customers on a regular basis, managing projects and focusing on specifying and selling Hempel's insulation technologies.
Hempel is entering the insulation market with the launch of the Energy Retention solution, which aims to replace conventional insulation and provide economic and sustainability benefits to our customers. This is the first solution we have launched, with the expectation of launching more solutions in the future.
Main Responsibilities:- Identify, develop, and maintain strong business contacts with defined oil and gas asset owners and their subsidiaries, including relevant engineering companies within Europe.
- Ensure that Hempel's insulation technology is specified with the most suitable and competitive systems within the asset owners' approval system.
- Maintain a complete and detailed overview of current and future construction and maintenance projects related to our defined product portfolio.
- Initiate and drive all necessary actions with the Hempel sales teams to secure orders for targeted projects.
- Periodically evaluate the performance of Hempel and competitor-approved systems and provide feedback on performance.
- Take an active role within the oil and gas, NACE forums.
- Ensure projects, MoM, and customer contacts are tracked correctly in CRM.
- At least 5 years of B2B international sales experience with proven success.
- At least 3 years of experience with insulation and/or corrosion protection paint in sales and/or application processes.
- Ability to travel according to business and customer priorities (up to 50% working time).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management.
- Excellent project management and coordination.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Self-driven and proactive.
- FROSIO or NACE or other certification would be an asset.
- English required. Other languages like German and/or Spanish preferred.
