About the Role:

Parexel Denmark A/S is seeking an experienced Business Development Senior Director or Vice President to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your commercial CRO expertise in clinical trial solutions and drive business growth across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs).

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and securing new business opportunities through proactive sales activities. You will drive the entire sales process in close collaboration with Solutions Consultants and Commercial Operations teams, ensuring smooth transitions to delivery. Your territory/account sales strategy should focus on gaining market share and building high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

New Business Acquisition:

  • You will actively and consistently prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specified customer account(s).
  • Analyze and prioritize potential opportunities, developing strategic sales plans for each target account.
  • Evaluate appropriate strategies/solutions for clients, working closely with Business Operations to ensure client needs are addressed and resourcing/pricing is suitable for winning the business and meeting margin targets.
  • Work with Solutions Consultant and Finance to agree on pricing strategies, educating team participants on customer culture, operational needs/methods, and sales techniques needed to close the sale.
  • Adapt successful strategies and tactics to meet market demands and financial targets.

Client Prospecting:

  • Maintain territory account plans with break-in strategies, understanding clients' development and commercial strategy, product development portfolio, and pain points.
  • Project confidence and expertise in approach and engagement with key decision-makers.
  • Engage clients across all key functions up and down the sponsor organization, maintaining high visibility within client organizations and becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' organizational structures and key stakeholders.
  • Anticipate client questions, uncovering clients' unique needs and becoming the focal point for discussing, representing, and selling PAREXEL's integrated solutions across all SBUs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven sales track record of achieving/surpassing sales goals.
  • Able to work independently and as part of complex, dynamic teams.
  • Excellent business/industry awareness and thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business.
  • Strong consultative skills.
  • Solid understanding of commercialization and principles of drug discovery and development.
  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate at senior management level.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others internally and externally.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, clients, and customers.
  • Able to maintain demanding timelines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of time as client needs dictate.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is between 120,000 - 180,000 DKK per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
