Opportunity

As a Flight Support Officer at Maersk Air Cargo, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our flight operations. You'll work closely with the Flight Operations Manager, contributing to projects that drive improvements in processes and technologies within the department.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the overall performance of our flight operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the navigation database, conduct route study analysis
  • Prepare aerodrome assessments and briefing materials, assist with the testing and maintenance of performance tools, and continuously seek opportunities for optimization and improvement within the department
  • Ensure Flight Support procedures are in place, financial and operational objectives are met, and regular reports and departmental meetings are conducted

Requirements

  • We're seeking a candidate with an operational background as a Flight Support Officer, pilot, or similar role
  • Experience in Flight Operations Dispatch is advantageous
  • The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a proactive and detail-oriented approach to their work
  • Knowledge of aircraft performance and flight planning is essential, as well as familiarity with air traffic management, aviation regulations, and meteorology. Experience with airport slots is preferred

  • The successful candidate will be results-focused, commercially aware, and able to make effective decisions in high-pressure situations
  • They will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately without supervision. A resilient approach to challenges and the ability to contribute to the development of Flight Support and the Flight Operations department are also key competencies for this role
