We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Professor in Molecular Autophagy to join our team at the Department of Biomedicine. As a leading researcher in the field of autophagy, you will contribute to our research and teaching environment, and play a key role in advancing our understanding of molecular autophagy.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research of high international quality in molecular autophagy, with a focus on LC3 proteins and their interactors.
- Teach and supervise students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the development of new teaching activities.
- Secure external research funding to support your research program.
- Supervise PhD students and contribute to the development of the faculty's PhD courses.
- Collaborate with other researchers in the department and university to advance our understanding of molecular autophagy.
- Established expertise in studying LC3/GABARAP proteins and their interactors, using in vitro biochemical and biophysical assays.
- Experience in designing, creating, and optimizing constructs for expression in bacteria, insect, and mammalian cells.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and partners.
- Fluency in oral and written English, with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to a variety of audiences.
