Job Title: HSSE Manager

Maersk is seeking a highly skilled HSSE Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering industry-leading health, safety, environmental, and security performance in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all HSE and Security matters in Lin Gang Area, ensuring compliance with Maersk standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of all HSSE policies and procedures within responsible warehouses for Lin Gang area.
  • Identify HSE hazards in the workplace and select controls to eliminate and reduce these.
  • Support site management in determining the root causes of incidents and eliminating them.
  • Facilitate HSSE legal compliance by identifying applicable legal requirements and advising site management on compliance.
  • Regularly inspect working practices and factors affecting worker's health.
  • Advise site management on planning and organization of work, including design of workplaces and operational activities.
  • Support occupational health improvements and supervise the team to monitor site security team or vendors.
  • Develop and deliver HSE and security-related trainings to increase awareness.
  • Ensure security and safety infrastructures are well maintained and performing as intended.
  • Coordinate and assure the implementation of emergency response capabilities.
  • Act as the contact person for external HSSE consultants for highly specialized risk control.
  • Create site-specific HSSE reports on a monthly basis.
  • Develop HSE and security documentation based on Maersk global HSSE standard, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Manage the team to ensure the team delivers the objective as a whole.
  • Conduct HSSE risk assessments and ensure corrective and preventive measures are undertaken.
  • Support in preparation of and management of crisis/incidents/emergencies.
  • Support in customer and/or regulatory audits.
  • Develop a safety culture in employees at all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, and local languages.
  • General knowledge and experience on logistics (warehouse & trucking).
  • Certified safety engineer or NEBOSH IGC is preferred.
  • TAPA FSR and TSR certified auditor is preferred.
  • Experienced in conducting audits against ISO45001 AND ISO14001.
  • Experienced in design and implementation of HSSE management framework at site.
  • Proficient in communicating with customers and worker representatives on HSSE performance.
  • Mastery of HSE combining theory and organizational practice is preferred.
  • Can explain how legal requirements are identified and their applicability evaluated.
  • Skilled in managing critical stakeholders to achieve the objective of HSSE performance.
  • Capable of reviewing proposed facility design specifications to ensure safety in design.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Experienced in leading others.
  • Ability to deliver trainings.
  • Computer literate.
  • Process-oriented.
  • Demonstrates high degree of integrity.
