Assistant Professorship in Educational Psychology Focusing on Lifelong Development

Aarhus University invites applications for an assistant professorship in educational psychology focusing on lifelong development. The position is a full-time, three-year training position that begins on 1 December 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
About the DepartmentThe Danish School of Education at Aarhus University is Denmark's largest centre for research and teaching in the fields of education, didactics and learning. The school's activities are characterised by a high degree of interdisciplinarity and close interaction with society, including businesses, organisations, government agencies and institutions, both in Denmark and abroad.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and coordination of the Master's degree programme in educational psychology and in the teaching and supervision of students on this programme and other programmes offered by the Danish School of Education at Master's and professional Master's levels.
- Play an active role in the development of new research projects within one or more of the following areas: early childhood education and care, developmental crisis in a lifelong perspective, learning and wellbeing in schools – children, youth, and adults, research and intervention/support in relation to children, youth and adults in the digital age, and marginalised and institutionalised conduct of life in a developmental and lifelong perspective.
- Engage in knowledge exchange as mentioned in the strategy for the Faculty of Arts, for instance in research cooperation with private companies, government consultancy, cooperation with civil society actors or public dissemination of knowledge.
- The selected applicant must have a Master's and PhD degree or the equivalent in psychology, educational psychology or a related field and must be able to document the following: theoretical knowledge about a broad range of psychological theories, especially contextual developmental psychology of relevance for the field of educational psychology, knowledge of a variety of methods, including interviews and observation and preferably also assessment and interventions over the lifespan, experience or interest in teaching in relation to the Master's degree programme in educational psychology and the professional Master's degree programme in the psychology of well-being and capabilities, an internationally oriented research profile, a relevant and internationally oriented publication profile, experience or interest in participating in national and international research networks, experience or interest in communication and knowledge exchange, experience in interdisciplinary collaboration as well as interdisciplinary research, experience in or potential for obtaining external research funding, experience or interest in interdisciplinary teaching, including innovative teaching methods, experience or interest in supervising student projects and interest in researcher talent development.
