We are seeking a highly accomplished Professor in Veterinary Clinical Pathology to join the esteemed Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cutting-edge research, providing exceptional teaching and mentorship, and contributing to the department's mission of advancing animal health and disease understanding.

About the Position

  • Conduct innovative research in veterinary clinical pathology, with a focus on biomarkers, diagnostics, and therapeutics.
  • Teach and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students in veterinary clinical pathology and related fields.
  • Lead and manage the University of Copenhagen Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, ensuring high-quality services and expertise.
  • Pursue external funding opportunities to support research and departmental initiatives.
  • Engage in knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking within the academic community.

Requirements

  • Hold a DVM degree and be authorized to practice veterinary medicine in Denmark or willing to obtain this authorization shortly after commencement.
  • Possess a PhD degree within relevant fields of research, such as veterinary haematology, inflammation, haemostasis, cancer, clinical biochemistry, endocrinology, cytology, or urinalysis.
  • Have completed a residency program or hold board eligibility/diplomate status within ECVCP/ACVCP or ECVIM/ACVIM.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of original scientific production, laboratory management, leadership, and pedagogical qualifications.
