About the role

The role will lead the in-country commercial customer, expert, and field force execution. The key objective of the role is the delivery of the country financial and market share targets, the representation of Haleon externally and ensuring that all business activities are conducted in line with compliance, regulatory and ethical guidelines. The Denmark Country Manager develops and leads a high performing local team across Key Account, Expert Field and Customer/Expert Marketing and oversees the Icelandic distributor model. The role will work in close collaboration with other cluster functions and will be a member of the Nordic LT.

Key responsibilities

Define and execute the channel and customer growth strategy – building on cluster commercial and brand priorities and strategy.

Enable excellent execution of customer, expert, and field force activation plans – as defined in the RGM growth drivers.

Prepare and participate in customer joint business planning activities and negotiations as needed; ensure strong management of Iceland distributor model.

Deliver the country P&L and market share targets - respond to change in business environment with agile break through thinking, seeking to drive growth and increase efficiency.

Develop and lead a team of high performing in country commercial managers across Sales, Expert and Customer Marketing.

Attract, identify, and develop diverse talent and build sales competence and excellence to meet current and future capability needs.

Create a culture of growth mindset and working across boundaries – supported by break through thinking, making bold choices and thriving to always make continuous improvements.

Actively participate in relevant industry groups to ensure that Haleon is a key influencer with customers, government officials and industry bodies in shaping favourably our business environment.

Ensure that all in country activity comply with legal and ethical requirements and are in line with corporate governance and code of conduct policies. Drive compliance and internal control framework – identifying and managing risks.

Ultimate responsibility to ensure an effective quality management system to achieve the quality objectives. Ensure an effective quality management system and GMP compliance through participation in quality council meetings.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in Sales or Category/Customer/Shopper organisation - with proven track record of strong P&L delivery and thinking.

Minimum 5 years of Key Account Management experience in Pharmacy and Retail.

People leadership capability: track record of building and developing high performing teams.

Strong demonstration of leadership standards with focus on bringing the outside in, accountability to deliver results, breaking down barriers, growing and inspiring others.

Preferred

Strong consumer, shopper, and expert understanding to shape in country execution plans.

Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.

Ability to resolve conflicts in a pragmatic and solution-oriented way.

Coaching, development, and team building capability and experience.

High ethical standards and judgement.

Fluent in Danish and English.

Global mobility.
