The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling the organization’s Insulation- and related products B2B across multiple or non-specified channels within designated territory, segment, or account. The ideal candidate would be a versatile individual with strong commercial and technical capabilities specifically on Insulation technologies who is able to work with commercial teams and interact with customers on a regular basis. This position requires Project Management capabilities with specific focus on specifying and selling of Hempel’s insulation technologies.

Hempel enters the Insulation market with the launch of the Energy Retention solution, which intends to replace conventional insulation providing economical and sustainability benefits to our customers. This is the first solution we have launched, with the expectation of launching more solutions in the future.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Identify, develop and maintain strong business contacts with defined Oil & Gas – Chemical Asset Owners and their subsidiaries including relevant Engineering companies (EPC) within Europe.
  • Make sure that Hempel’s insulation technology is specified with the most suitable and competitive systems within the Asset Owners approval system.
  • Maintain complete and detailed overview of current and future construction and maintenance projects, related to the defined product portfolio.
  • Initiate and drive all the necessary actions together with the Hempel sales teams in order to secure the orders for the targeted projects.
  • Periodically evaluate the performance of Hempel and competitor approved systems and provide feedback on performance.
  • Take an active role within Oil and Gas, NACE forums.
  • Ensure projects, MoM and customer contacts are tracked correctly in CRM.

Our requirements:

  • At least 5 years of B2B international sales experience with proven success.
  • At least 3 years of experience with insulation- and/or corrosion protection paint in sales and/or application process.
  • Ability to travel according to business and customer priorities (up to 50% working time).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Excellent project management and coordination.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Self-driven and proactive.
  • FROSIO or NACE or other certification would be an asset.
  • English required. Other languages like German and/or Spanish preferred.
