We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen, as part of the Centre for Geo-enhancing Biological Productivity with Glacial Rock Flour.

Research Focus

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing field sites in Denmark to study the impact of glacial rock flour applications on plant growth and CO2 uptake.
  • The position will involve collaborating with experts in greenhouse gas flux measurements and contributing to publications and activities.

Requirements

  • PhD in soil science, biogeochemistry, or a related field.
  • Expertise in soil water dynamics and experience in field sampling and measurement of soil solutions and nutrient fluxes.
  • Active interest in developing nature-based solutions to the climate crisis.
  • Good record of peer-reviewed scientific publications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions

The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 3 years, with a start date of 1 February 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.
