At DMI - Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radar Systems Developer to join our Weather Research Department. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work with state-of-the-art weather radar technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for weather forecasting and research.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, geophysics, and remote sensing technologies, with experience in working with Unix environments and programming languages such as Python, C, and Git. A proven track record in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms, high-performance computing, and data integration is also an advantage.

We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment with access to cutting-edge infrastructure and tools. Our team works closely with meteorologists, hydrologists, and IT experts to develop and maintain advanced weather forecasting systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying radar systems and algorithms for weather forecasting and research. You will also collaborate with colleagues to integrate radar data with other sources of information and develop new products and services for clients.

To succeed in this position, you must have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with scientific publication and presentation is also an asset.
