Weather Radar Expert for Research and Development

DMI - Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut is seeking a skilled researcher and developer to join our team in the Weather Research Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new weather radar applications, conducting research in precipitation and weather radar remote sensing, and collaborating with other researchers and developers to improve our weather forecasting services.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development and implementation of new weather radar applications, including data processing and analysis.
* Conduct research in precipitation and weather radar remote sensing, including the development of new algorithms and models.
* Collaborate with other researchers and developers to improve our weather forecasting services, including the development of new products and services.
* Work closely with IT experts to ensure seamless integration of new applications and services.
Requirements
* MSc or PhD degree in a relevant field, such as geophysics, meteorology, or computer science.
* Strong programming skills, including experience with UNIX environments and languages such as Python and C.
* Experience with machine learning, high-performance computing, and data processing.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
