Academic Position in Microfluidics and Drug Screening

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Professor to join our research team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW) at the University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will have a strong background in microfluidic device engineering, stem cell biology, and neurodevelopment.
Job DescriptionThe position involves developing a microfluidic platform for bioengineered neuronal circuits and high-throughput stem cell-based phenotypic drug screening for Parkinson's Disease. This will involve overseeing an independent scientific project, applying various techniques such as hPSCs cell culturing and differentiation, high-throughput qRT-PCR, and live-cell confocal imaging.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in developmental biology, biomedical sciences, or bioengineering and at least 4 years of postdoctoral experience in the field. Practical experience in handling and culturing human pluripotent stem cells and neural differentiation is essential, along with proven experience in laboratory management and teaching activities.
