Purpose & Mission
Our Business Unit Energy Separation aims to deliver separation solutions that make a sustainable difference. With our thermal and mechanical separation technologies, we help customers in heavy and light industries reach their NetZero targets. We're expanding substantially within the ZLD segment globally and are now looking for a Business Developer who shares our values and ambition to put Alfa Laval's ZLD solutions on the global map.
About the Job
We're growing our Process Sales business and team, organizing business development in 'agile business development teams'. This means we bring in a suitable mix of technical and commercial competences and grow the team based on market results and learnings.
As Business Developer ZLD, your key tasks will be to:
- Create, maintain, and deliver on the ZLD strategy and business plan.
- Map industry trends, analyze and structure insights to inform our approach, and propose suitable market strategies for each ZLD segment.
- Drive business development and sales in close collaboration with our sales companies.
- Engage in key sales opportunities to develop new markets and gain new insights.
- Drive our positioning through presence in conferences, social media, and relevant communities.
- Secure compelling online presence through compiling materials for external and internal communication.
- Develop customer access pipelines and propose Clean Tech partnerships aligned with the BU strategy.
- Closely manage orders, revenue generated, and delivery on business cases.
You'll be part of the Process Sales team in Söborg, Denmark, working closely with technology specialists in our process sales organization and collaborating with colleagues in Sales companies.
The position is preferably based in Söborg, Denmark, or Lund, Sweden.
Who You Are
To thrive in this role, you're passionate about sustainability and making a difference through technology. You have a holistic understanding of the ZLD business landscape, can identify customer needs, and understand business drivers. You're comfortable interacting and building business relationships on multiple levels, including executive, and are organized and structured to manage multiple projects.
What You Know
We believe you have several years of technical-commercial experience, preferably linked to ZLD, industrial water treatment processes, circular economy, or recycling in an international setting. You have experience from a matrix organization and understand how to manage the customer journey with indirect responsibilities. You have a graduate degree in engineering, business, or a similar field, possess high technical and commercial skills, and have experience from evaporation and decanter technologies. You're passionate about sustainability and committed to continuous learning, with excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
