We are seeking a highly motivated Neuroscience Researcher to join our Department of Neuroscience team at the University of Copenhagen. Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments to investigate neural mechanisms underlying memory, cognition, and spatial navigation in rodents. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of neuroscientists and data analysts to develop innovative approaches and tools for understanding brain function and dysfunction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct electrophysiology experiments using Neuropixels recordings from awake rodents
  • Analyze spiking data at the population level using advanced computational methods
  • Collaborate with lab members to develop new technical advances and methodologies
  • Present research findings through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field, with a strong background in electrophysiology, data analysis, and computational neuroscience. Experience with optogenetics, virus-based techniques, and genetic manipulation would be an asset. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective collaboration with the research team and presentation of research findings.
