Job Description
The Global Service Specialist will play a critical role in defining and enabling Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and external Service Providers (ASPs) to service pathology equipment in the field. This individual will be responsible for:
- Supporting FSEs/RSS from around the world in technical escalations, including phone support, email, and possible travel;
- Conducting instrument trainings for FSEs in Agilent facilities, including onsite training, video creation, and online instrument training;
- Developing, maintaining, and updating service documentation, such as service manuals, checklists, and training materials;
- Defining and managing spare parts, including creation and obsolescence, recommended trunk stock, etc.;
- Maintaining product and service issues and driving resolutions through service forums and stakeholders;
- Representing Service in R&D and project meetings to ensure service and serviceability are key parameters in future versions of instruments/solutions;
- Participating in meetings with suppliers and partners to secure that service requirements are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a commitment to delivering the highest levels of Quality in Services. You should possess:
- +5 years of Service experience;
- Fluent English language skills (written and verbal);
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Experience conducting courses;
- Technical writing skills;
- AV production experience;
- Good analytical skills and ability to comprehend larger processes or data;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive mindset;
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
