WHY you should join us
The telecommunications industry’s future electricity consumption is expected to rise from 8% of global electricity consumption in 2010 to 14% in 2030 and the rise in traffic is only expanding*. This reflects the significant demand for fibers and connectivity solutions for both businesses and consumers – and the scale of impact that a sustainable change in the industry can have. Outside the direct energy consumption there will be a significant drive to implement circular solutions to minimize the use of raw materials and reduce the footprint of the equipment required to deliver connectivity. At GlobalConnect, you will have the opportunity to be part of a committed and diverse team, enthusiastic about making a real impact and influencing the direction of our company
WHO we are looking for
We are looking for a structured and independent colleague who is able to organize and manage data collection, analysis and reporting systematically to maintain accuracy standards, and deadlines. You work well independently and are comfortable with having responsibility for coordinating and conducting ESG reporting. You are passionate about sustainability and have an interest in staying up to date with the latest ESG reporting standards, requirements, and best practice.
You are a good communicator and can effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders while building and maintaining positive relationships. As a communicator you are comfortable with conducting analyses and producing material to present to senior stakeholders.
Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:
- You will serve as a project leader on large projects, collaborating closely with the team to activate internal and external stakeholders
- Collect relevant ESG data from across the organization to compile into relevant reports and/or to respond to specific customer requests.
