About the role
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share by implementing the DFDS sales strategy. You will actively identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients. Negotiating competitive rate agreements, collaborating with internal sales teams, and ensuring efficient enquiry management will be essential aspects of the role. By monitoring market trends and aligning sales efforts with strategic objectives, you will contribute to the overall success of the business. Additionally, you will lead by example, supporting the initiatives of the BU North Sea functional teams to enhance commercial performance. This role requires you to work 09:00-17:00, Monday-Friday.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving sales performance by identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Negotiating and managing rate agreements to optimise profitability and competitiveness.
- Working closely with internal teams to align sales efforts and share market insights.
- Tracking and analysing market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
About you
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Sales Manager with a strong background in sales management and a proven ability to achieve and exceed targets. You have excellent negotiation and communication skills, enabling you to build lasting relationships with clients and secure competitive agreements. Your proficiency in CRM software and the MS Office suite ensures you can efficiently manage customer data, track performance, and optimise sales processes.
You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating a customer-focused mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities with ease. Your strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach make you a valuable team player, fostering positive relationships both internally and externally. With a proactive and strategic mindset, you work effectively across teams to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and contribute to overall commercial success.
