Customer Experience Strategist Role

Are you passionate about crafting world-class customer experiences in Marketing Automation, Personalization, Loyalty, and CRM? Do you have a strategic mindset and enjoy developing impactful experience strategies for global clients?

As a Senior Experience Strategist at VML MAP, you will act as an advocate for end-customers to ensure a cohesive, customer-first approach to marketing automation, personalization, loyalty, and CRM, and to the wider connected customer experiences at scale. Your goal is to humanize the relationship between brands and consumers by leveraging data and technology to make every moment matter.

With your expertise in using tech and data to enable customer-centric design and personalization at scale, you will represent and implement VML MAP's proven frameworks and methodologies to set the strategic direction for outstanding data-driven connected customer experiences for our clients and their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify gaps and opportunities throughout the customer journey and define how to fill/leverage them.
  2. Represent and implement VML MAP's proven frameworks and methodologies.
  3. Actively contribute to engagements with brands using a customer-centric approach, prioritizing experience strategy at the heart of every touchpoint.
  4. Consult internally and externally, defining engaging omni-channel customer journeys, connecting relevant consumer moments through data, tech, content, and insights.
  5. Facilitate seamless collaboration among capabilities to meet project deadlines and ensure industry-leading quality and client satisfaction.

At VML MAP headquarters in Copenhagen, you will be part of a dynamic and international environment where you will have plenty of opportunities to develop your personal and professional skills. Your work will involve close collaboration with experts in technology, data, design, business consulting, and client services from our offices globally.

You will also work with our clients, including management and specialists, across various functions like marketing, sales, digital, and technology. Our global clients span multiple industries such as FMCG, retailers, fashion, automotive, and financial services.

Your Skills and Qualifications

As a person, you are an outgoing, sociable team player with strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter mentality. You excel in thinking outside the box and solving complex challenges in a structured manner with attention to detail. You possess a strong ability to draw sound insights from data and switch between tech-first and human-first perspectives to translate business objectives into clear strategic recommendations.

Additionally, you have a global perspective and flair for cross-cultural collaboration, ensuring seamless alignment between our different offices.

Ideal qualifications include:

  1. A relevant degree within the fields of marketing, advertising, communications, and/or digital consulting.
  2. Experience with leveraging tech and data to enable customer-centric design and personalization at scale.
  3. Knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or similar platforms.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as visual presentation skills.
  5. Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-culturally between the U.S. and Europe.
  6. Experience working effectively in flat organizational structures, where collaboration and flexibility take precedence over set procedures and hierarchy.
