Dynamic Business Growth Specialist

BIG, a renowned architecture and engineering firm, seeks an accomplished Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading new business initiatives, strengthening BIG's presence in existing markets, particularly in the UK, and expanding into new submarkets and sectors. They will work closely with senior internal team members, including Partners, Directors, and Associates, to drive growth and acquisition of projects.
This role involves:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to acquire new projects and grow existing client relationships
- Maintaining and expanding connections with clients, consultants, and collaborators
- Initiating, leading, and delivering special projects and proactive activities
- Managing multiple pursuits simultaneously, from lead generation to contract negotiation
- Presenting strategic ideas and proposals to clients and stakeholders
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with 4-6 years' experience in a similar position within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of architecture, building procedures, and urban planning in the UK, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
This is a full-time position based out of BIG's London office, and the salary will be commensurate with experience. Please note that you must have permission to live and work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to acquire new projects and grow existing client relationships
- Campaign Management: Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, from lead generation to contract negotiation
- Client Engagement: Maintain and expand connections with clients, consultants, and collaborators
- Proposal Development: Develop and present strategic proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Pipeline Management: Manage the pipeline for new business opportunities and track progress
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 4-6 years' experience in a similar position within the construction industry
- Solid understanding of architecture, building procedures, and urban planning in the UK
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to develop and implement strategic plans
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple campaigns and pipeline
Salary Range: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
