Our Dairy Biosciences SubBU, part of the Health & Biosciences Business Unit, passionately supports the Dairy Industry with a deep knowledge of cultures and enzyme solutions. The product range of IFF's Dairy Biosciences Sub Business Unit includes starter cultures (live microorganisms), protective cultures, probiotic cultures, dairy enzymes, yeasts, and mold fungus cultures. Our products are used in over 90 countries in the production of cheese, yogurt, various dairy products, and other fermented foods and help to improve the quality of the food.

We are looking for a skilled Technical Sales Manager to join our IFF sales organization in Denmark, being responsible for H&B Dairy Biosciences' customers in Nordic markets. A candidate who has proven skills with cultures and dairy enzymes in the fermented dairy and cheese industry. This position offers an exciting role with a lot of potential in a dynamic and strong industry. The aim is to grow our Dairy Biosciences business at targeted dairy customers in Denmark and Nordic countries, within the fresh fermented and cheese industry, so a high level of practical experience in the dairy industry is of key importance. You will be reporting to the Sub-Regional Sales Leader CE/EE/Nordics for Dairy Biosciences. You will be supported by the Dairy Biosciences business group, which includes Communications, Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations, and Finance to achieve our common goals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Being First Choice - cultivate and develop relationships with targeted existing and potential dairy customers to promote IFF as the preferred supplier.
  2. Regularly visit customers to offer technical and commercial solutions to customer-driven projects.
  3. Identify and evaluate new market trends/opportunities and develop these opportunities into new business to grow the company's market share within the dairy industry - manage these opportunities within our SalesForce.Com system.
  4. Support IFF's strategy for growth linked to dairy cultures and dairy enzymes.
  5. Develop long-term sales plans for key customers and accounts, monitor and adapt sales activities to meet these objectives in accordance with IFF's BU strategy.
  6. Actively promote the company profile at conferences, tradeshows, and industry seminars.
  7. Keep and establish contact with internal departments like Application and Product Management on relevant projects, pricing, market developments, etc.

Your Key Requirements:

  1. You are a professional with a dairy technology background having solid practical experience in dairy fresh fermented milk products and a good understanding of cheese technology.
  2. Specific experience or competencies within dairy cultures and dairy enzymes will be considered a strong advantage.
  3. You like to work independently, being self-motivated but also understand how to function in a larger organization and the importance of reaching common business goals – a high degree of team spirit is a prerequisite.
  4. You prove project management skills where full ownership of driving new business opportunities is demonstrated by coordinating all team members to achieve business objectives.
  5. You are customer-centric and open-minded.
  6. You are fluent in the English language and have a driving license category B.
  7. You like regular travel to visit customers or for internal activities.
