Job Summary

The AWS Sales team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales professional to drive revenue growth and adoption of AWS services in the life science R&D industry. As an AWS Sales Strategist for BioPharma, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to grow presence in new accounts and expand existing relationships with leading BioPharma clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a sales strategy to grow presence in new accounts and expand existing relationships with leading BioPharma clients.
  2. Leverage market intelligence, industry trends, and customer insights to identify high-value sales opportunities and craft targeted sales strategies in R&D.
  3. Collaborate closely with sales, technical, and product teams to understand customer requirements, propose innovative cloud-based solutions, and secure new business.
  4. Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and consistently exceed sales targets through strategic account planning and execution.
  5. Provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team on product roadmap, go-to-market strategies, and other initiatives to better serve the life science R&D community.
  6. Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to anticipate customer needs and position our offerings accordingly.

Requirements

  1. 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the life science and cloud technology industries.
  2. Deep knowledge of BioPharma R&D, including R&D IT systems landscape, data flow and data management.
  3. Strong understanding of cloud computing, data management, and life science research workflows.
  4. Deep understanding of Bio Pharma Market, including Cell and Gene Therapies, Biologics, Large Molecule Development, etc.
  5. Advanced degree in a life science relevant field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Deep understanding of cloud and data in life science R&D.
  2. Familiarity with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
  3. Understanding of bioinformatics, genomics, GenAi, AI/ML or other life science research disciplines.
  4. Track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
